The Yao Culture

Today, the people from the Yao culture came to Cultural cafe to represent themselves in difference to our every day scene. These people were dressed in long colorful robes, red if they were female, blue if they were male. They wore magnificent hats upon their heads, with dangling baubles and glittery threads. What was unusual, was that they were wearing their own, casual shoes. Being as they are wearing all this Costume material, why were their shoes a mixture of trainers, pumps and uggs? Other than this sidetrack, their performance was amazing. Their voices were so pure and they always smiled when they sang, which made you smile too. Celebrities would be jealous of how clear their voices were, just like they'd been on auto tune. I found it hard to believe it wasn't on a soundtrack that they were sining along to.

They brought some volunteers up onto the stage they were performing on, before showing the un-knowing volunteers what they were in for. These casual, just passing through people, were up to a fight with one of the most professional fighters of the Yao culture. For the the first un-lucky match, the fight seemed impossible and he fell to the ground with shame. Though, for the second, unfortunately for the professional, he braved the fight and won!

I throughly enjoyed this experience because it was nice to learn about other cultures and hear what the people of the Yao culture had to say. I had never experienced something like this before and i recommend this to anyone wanting to try something different for entertainment!
